Pool Lounge at Neel Kamal at the Taj Lake Palace , Udaipur, India

Neel Kamal at the Taj Lake Palace

Even if you’ve had Indian fare for days, this elegant, white tablecloth restaurant at the Taj Lake Palace hotel still wows and delights, and that’s saying something. Dine in the intimate main room, which faces an interior courtyard with lily pond, or have the team arrange a special private dinner on the Lake Palace’s Mewar Terrace to overlook the water. From dishes such as wood-smoked morels in a saffron-cashew gravy and rose petal-infused kulfi (Indian ice cream) to the mango chutney or fragrant basmati rice that accompanies them, everything seems precisely prepared. Absolutely save room for dessert. This restaurant is only open to guests of the Taj Lake Palace.
