First Look: Four Seasons Maldives Private Island at Voavah

Several hundred miles southwest of India’s southern tip lies the garland of 26 atolls that compose the Maldives. This tropical paradise is known for its bright turquoise waters, diverse flora and fauna and chic, cosseting hotels, which make it one of the world’s most alluring and private destinations. It’s thus only fitting that when the Four Seasons looked to develop a private island property in paradise, they found such a place. The Four Seasons Maldives Private Island at Voavah is the brand's most glamorous property yet.

Spread across five acres of a pristine biosphere reserve, Voavah Island is the first property in the Four Seasons collection that is designed for exclusive use, and is ideal for uber-private or celebratory vacations. In addition to a heavenly over-water spa and a 62-foot yacht, the resort is equipped with a staff of more than 20, including a private chef who whips up incredible culinary offerings and a team of butlers. The three gorgeous villas, with a combined seven bedrooms, can accommodate a total of 22 guests. Each honors their beautiful setting, featuring beachy interiors, large windows that open onto powder-white sand and decks with plush lounge chairs. All three villas sport their own sleek infinity pool that blends perfectly with its surroundings. The menu of activities includes such diversions as snorkeling with manta rays, scuba diving, fishing, paddleboarding and going on turtle and dolphin safaris.
