They’re privately owned, so the interiors vary—from a relaxed New England look to a sleek modernist scheme—but all have large kitchens (private chefs can be arranged), comfortable bedrooms and lush gardens. Each Harbor View villa (particularly lovely is number 203), on the south coast, has a magnificent two-tiered living area that opens seamlessly onto a pool deck, making the Caribbean colors and fragrances as much a part of the interior as the modern art on the walls. The Pond Bay villas are tucked away in the northwest part of the island, close to unspoiled Pasture Beach. Villa guests have access to the hotel amenities, but because you’re staying in someone’s home, the experience feels more secluded and personal.
