Asian Minimalist: Amanyara

’s gorgeous design is the star here, as clean lines and Asian-inspired pavilions and architecture stand starkly against a peaceful setting of white sand, turquoise water and clear skies.

• Best for: Guests  tend to be in search of quiet—to rest, read and spend quality time with their loved ones.

• Keep in Mind: From Amanyara, Grace Bay is a 35-minute drive away, so guests rarely leave the property.
• Favored Activities: Swimming in the 164-foot-long infinity pool made of black Indonesian volcanic rock; daydreaming on the enormous daybeds (salas) with lovely views; snorkeling at nearby reefs; using the fitness facilities, which include tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, a Pilates studio, boxing gym and more; paddleboarding, sailing and lounging on the resort's stunning beach.

Wellness Island: Parrot Cay by COMO

A place of understated elegance, Parrot Cay has a castaway design and ambience more commonly associated with resorts in the Maldives or Bali.

• Best for: Guests who understand that luxury here means lounging on a muslin-draped daybed or indulging in daily yoga lessons at COMO Shambhala and snacking barefoot on ultra fresh seafood.
• Room to Book: The private villas located on the island’s serene coast. Contact us for help booking a stay.
• Keep in Mind: Like Amanyara, Parrot Cay is remote and getting here is an endeavor including a 20-minute drive and 35-minute boat transfer. This means you’re not leaving Parrot Cay while here. Plus, there’s not much to do on Parrot Cay—and that’s the point.
• Favored Activities: Complimentary yoga and Pilates classes; spa treatments.
• Where to Eat: The resort has two excellent restaurants: Terrace, in the main hotel, and Lotus, a breezy poolside eatery. Read more.

Family Haven: Grace Bay Club

The family-friendly Grace Bay Club offers an excellent kids club to keep the children occupied while the grown ups enjoy adults-only amenities.

• Best for: Families with little kids and varied interests; multi-generation family trips.
• Room to Book: The family-friendly Villas area and adults-only Hotel section contain larger suites and afford multiple connecting-room options. The Estates are the most private option with multi-bedroom residences and a private pool. All accommodations have been redecorated by celebrity interior designer Thom Felicia.
• Keep in Mind: The hotel is one of the largest on this part of Grace Bay, so can feel busy and not very private.
• Favored Activities: Parents adore the Villas’ swim-up pool bar and spa, and kids love the extensive kids' club arrangements including snorkeling and bonfires complete with s’mores.
• Where to Eat: Thom Filicia also redesigned two of the property’s dining options, the atmospheric Infiniti Bar and delicious Infiniti Restaurant, which offers an excellent menu that encourages guests to linger. Grace Bay Classic: The Palms

The grande dame hotel on Provo, The Palms is ideal for vacationers who want to be part of the Grace Bay action—but not too active.

• Best for: Fans of classic properties and spa mavens.
• Room to Book: Our favorite suites have comfy furniture–bedecked terraces and stunning views. Contact us for assistance planning a visit to The Palms.
• Keep in Mind: Other hotels abut The Palms property on both sides, so those looking for a sense of space might feel claustrophobic.
• Favorite Activities: Massages and lounging in the spectacular spa.
• Where to Eat: Providenciales’s top restaurants, including Coyaba, Coco Bistro, Magnolia Wine Bar and Bella Luna. Read more.

Villa Escape: Beach Enclave

Beach Enclave is where a luxury resort meets a full-service villa option, with highly personalized service. Even with this, it could even be considered as a more affordable villa option alongside our other Caribbean favorites. The concept was dreamed up by owner Vasco Borges as a gathering place for friends and family to be together in paradise while still having the amenities of gyms, chefs and all of the services in stunning beachfront accommodations. There are three Beach Enclave locations—Long Bay, Grace Bay and North Shore—and each one has several villas, all with direct beach access and a private pool deck and amenities like a gym with yoga deck.

• Best for: Multigenerational families; groups of friends traveling together
• Villa to Book: It is good to know that the villas are virtually the same at each location and the main differences are in the beach choices. At Long Bay, you’re essentially at sea level so you can walk right out to the sand, while at Grace Bay and North Shore, you’re perched a bit higher up, so you walk down some private stairs to get there. For this reason, families with younger kids may prefer Long Bay, but otherwise the vibe of the villas feels similar.
• Keep in Mind: Villas all come with a dedicated butler and range in size from two to seven bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom.
• Favored Activities: They have kayaks and paddleboards on each property’s private beach; the concierge team can assist with any other arrangements. Getting on the water in any way is the most popular choice.
• Where to Eat: According to the Beach Enclave team, many guests arrive and decide to cancel restaurant reservations and hire a chef if they had not already booked one. Many of the chefs were trained at Aman and other high-end resorts on the island. Depending on what guests want, butlers make iced coffees all day, delicious fruit plates and snacks, plus assist with breakfast and lunch.

Hot Scene: Wymara

is known on Provo for having the most vibrant scene, and if not for the undeniably Caribbean pale blue water and soft, white sand, this übercool property could be in the middle of Miami’s South Beach.

• Best for: Groups of friends traveling together or couples who want to be in the center of the fun.
• Room to Book: The best suites come with full kitchens, an open plan sitting and dining area and a spacious terrace, perfect for gatherings. Contact Indagare for assistance booking our favorite suite.

• Favorite Activities: Dancing poolside to live music and DJs on weekend nights; Exhale’s Core Fusion classes.

Five-Star Newcomer: The Shore Club

Set on Provo’s Caribbean coast, The Shore Club offers a stylish, Caribbean-meets-colonial design with a picturesque beachfront setting that is less developed than Grace Bay.

• Best for: Young couples and families who want easy access to windsurfing and kitesurfing and groups who want a free-standing villa with all of the amenities of a hotel.
• Room to Book: The sprawling executive penthouse with two large terraces or the six-bedroom beachfront villas
• Keep in Mind: The hotel is located on Long Bay Beach, on the opposite coast from Grace Bay, so the beach is narrower and windier.
• Favorite Activities: Swimming at the property's four pools; chartering the hotel's yacht; windsurfing or kite surfing off the hotel's beach
• Where to Eat: The hotel’s signature restaurant, Sui-Ren, serves Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, and a more casual meal can be enjoyed at beachfront SeaGrapes or at the poolside Colonnade.
