If not for the undeniably Caribbean pale blue water and soft, white sand, the uber-cool and sophisticated Wymara Resort and Villas could easily be located in the middle of Miami’s South Beach.

Review
Formerly known as the Gansevoort Turks + Caicos, Wymara’s 91 rooms (including 36 suites and penthouses) are broken down into many types, with different layouts and amenities, but a chic seaside style runs throughout, and all rooms have views of the white sand beaches and turquoise waters that makes Grace Bay so famous.
Guests are greeted by the property’s 7,000-square-foot infinity pool framed by multiple types of poolside seating, including isolated duos of chaise lounges that appear to be sitting in the middle of the water. The restaurant Stelle and spa flank either side of the pool and lead to two five-story buildings that hold the majority of accommodations. Note: Those who do not wish to be disturbed by the dj that spins until 2am on Friday nights should request a room in the eastern wing.
Rooms are spacious (the smallest measures 670 square feet) and outfitted with a sleek, contemporary décor of white-tiled floors, low king-sized beds with white, Frette linens embroidered with ocean style motifs in shades of blue. Modern furniture made with dark wood and chrome finishes adds to the Miami Beach–style look to the rooms, which are adorned with framed, glossy photographs of beach scenes. The rooms all have kitchenettes and suites have full kitchens that are stocked with appliances. Most rooms have patios or balconies and are all light-filled and have clean—if not inspired—aesthetics.
Wymara’s beach is wide, uncrowded and beautiful, and the beach staff is lovely, offering refreshments throughout the day. The beach restaurant, Zest, serves light lunch options, like chicken Caesar wraps and red snapper ceviche with tostadas.
Exhale spa has an outlet in the hotel, and manages the exercise programs—of which there are many, including the beloved Core Fusion classes—and the small spa with three treatment rooms. Guests looking for massages however will be happier heading up the road to the Regent Palms.
Indagare Tip: There are ten different room types that vary greatly, so be sure to call the Indagare bookings team for advice and assistance booking a room.
Who Should Stay
Friends traveling together or couples who want to be in the center of Providenciales’s most lively scene.
We just arrived home from a 5 night stay at the Gansevoort and we absolutely loved it! We took Indagare’s advice and had an ocean front room, which was fabulous. We spent lots of time out on our balcony overlooking the ocean. The staff is first class, very attentive and easily arranged excursions and anything we needed. The only thing I would suggest is to call before you stay there and ask if there are any weddings on property; while we were there they had two weddings and the restaurant closed, so you would just want to make other accommodations. We had dinner one night at Amanyara and I have to say that it wasn’t for us, too quiet (almost in a strange way) and serene. Dinner at CoCo Bistro, Magnolia, and Da Conch Shack (lunch) are musts for dining – and the food on property is excellent.
