looking down at dinner dishes in restaurant

Anafe

B.A’s culinary “it couple” Mica Najmanovich and Nico Arcucci opened Anafe as a showcase of their love for travel and combining global influences with Argentine heritage into showstopping dishes. A menu that’s designed for sharing features ever-changing, always-delicious items, like home-cured fish and sour cream or pâte served on a financier tea-cake with pear chutney. The food is high-brow, though the vibe is casual, with simple white furniture and an industrial-chic setting. The restaurant has been recognized on 50 World’s Best Latin America listings.

Florería Atlántico

This subterranean restaurant is one of the hottest - and most hidden - cocktail bars in Buenos Aires. Interiors - Uco, Buenos Aires, Argentina

Uco

An Irish chef helming a restaurant in Buenos Aires may not seem the most obvious choice for a great, local dinner, but it is an inspired one. Set in the boutique Fierro Hotel in Palermo Viejo, this award-winning restaurant features a seasonal menu emphasizing traditional cooking with a twist. Everything is prepared in-house, and the tasting menu could include a white salmon ceviche and crispy suckling pig that’s been cooked for 18 hours with seasonal vegetables. The restaurant’s distressed wood furniture and tufted leather booths make for warm and handsome interiors, and on a nice evening, a cocktail in the garden is a must. Reservations are essential.
