Experience the cultural depth and natural beauty of one of South America’s most alluring and mysterious regions, Peru, with Indagare’s founder and CEO Melissa Biggs Bradley on this Insider Journey that explores the capital city of Lima and ventures on a cruise down the Amazon river.

What to Expect

On this Insider Journey, hosted by our founder Melissa Biggs Bradley, members will explore the secrets of Peru and the mysterious jungles of the Amazon. Until recently, many visitors to Peru never saw more of Lima, the port of entry for most tourists, than its airport: as recently as a decade ago, residents referred to the city as “Lima la Horrible.” But now that the historic center has been cleaned up, and there is a vibrant restaurant and art scene, a day in Lima, particularly one spent with an insider who can navigate the highlights of the capital, presents an immeasurable addition to one’s experience of the natural and cultural riches of Peru.

First, we will explore the majestic Amazon River aboard the Aria Amazon, a floating five-star paradise that will take you into the most exquisite corners and wildlife havens of the winding river. Then, we will enjoy all that Lima has to offer with privileged tours of museums, mansions and such native villages as Pachacamac. Next, test your culinary and mixology boundaries with private cooking and cocktail classes with some of Peru’s most respected chefs and bartenders.

This Journey's Host

Indagare is thrilled to announce that this journey will be hosted by our very own founder, Melissa Biggs Bradley. On Melissa’s first trip to Peru, she was struck by its cultural depth and natural beauty. “Cusco reminded me of a Latin American version of Florence with impressive colonial cathedrals and squares,” she explains, “and the Sacred Valley, which is known as the gateway to Macchu Pichu, is as glorious as many famous national parks.” Melissa is a lifelong traveler who can share insider intel for navigating unfamiliar territories and embracing travel that transforms who we are.
