A nondescript building on a quiet street in Miraflores is home to a museum not to be missed by anyone interested in textiles and ceramics. Amassed by a Japanese immigrant, the Amano collection contains pre-Inca cloth and objects, including statues and jewelry. The highlight of the guided tours—available in Spanish, Japanese or English—is the textile room, where dozens of drawers contain rare historic weavings that will leave you awestruck. The museum is now run by the late Mr. Amano’s grandson, Hiroshi Sakane. Open by appointment.
