Located in a former coal cellar in the center of Copenhagen, Koefoed was first recommended to us by an Indagare member who learned about it from Danish friends and said of his dinner there, “one of the ten best meals I have ever had.” The space is divided into five rooms and feels like a warren of cozy nooks and tucked away tables, so it is the perfect spot for a private dinner with family or friends. The chefs pay tribute to the special island of Borneholm, which inspired the atmosphere but is also the source of almost all of the ingredients. Small providers, farmers and fishermen supply the kitchen, where the chefs work their magic.
