La Glace

The oldest and most famous pastry shop in Copenhagen, La Glace was founded in 1870 and is legendary for its cakes and cake art. Every Danish child remembers their first visit here and the whimsical cakes and marzipan items. Many Danes have always had their birthday and special celebration cakes custom made here. The Sports Cakes, which contains the trademark crushed nougat, are the most famous treat to try. You can even take a four-hour cooking class to learn how to make it.
