Jean Vier
The vibrant Basque linen of Jean Vivier are quintessential mementos from this region. The classics are tablecloths and table runners but the boutique carries everything from napkins to bath towels and all feature brightly colored, striped Basque patterns. It's a must for first-time visitors.
Les Sandales d'Eugénie
This lovely shoe shop carries a large variety of espadrilles in eye-catching colors. Look for the Père Gabia brand.
Pariès Confiseur
With an Hermès orange–colored awning, this venerable chocolatier and confiserie is a must-visit for Biarritz sweet treats. They are particularly known for Basque macarons (very different from their pastel-colored siblings sold in Paris) and kanougas (a mix between a nougat and a caramel). Their colorful wrapping makes them great gifts to bring back to the States.
