Indagare Tours: Skiing
To take full advantage of the massive ski terrain and hit the best slopes, hire an experienced guide. Eighty-five percent of Courchevel’s 700-plus ski instructors work for private clients, and about the same percentage speak English, since most clients are international. Some are booked for weeks by the same families every year and accompany them to Argentina or New Zealand in the summer to ski, so they have always been encouraged to serve more as ski companions than as just teachers. These guides can make all your meal reservations, choose your wines, join you for dinner, even take your children to the movies if they would rather not ski. Courchevel also has an excellent ski school for children, and specially designed kids’ lifts for maximum safety. Indagare members can contact the Bookings Team to arrange a lesson with one of our best English-speaking instructors or a day at ski school for their kids.
Rock Climbing
After a day of skiing, take the kids to Le Forum, in the center of town, where they can rock climb on an artificial wall or pretend they’re Tarzan and swing from terrifying heights. There’s also a swimming pool, an ice-skating rink and a bowling alley.
Winter Sports
Couple a day of skiing with other winter sports to fully experience the French ski town. Indagare members can contact our Bookings Team to arrange a snowshoeing excursion or a snow mobile ride after the ski runs have closed for the day.
