Legendary fashion maven Inès de la Fressange has brought her iconic style back to Paris. The former muse of Karl Lagerfeld and well-known model had a boutique on the Right Bank in the 1990s and now she has relaunched her brand on the Left Bank. Indagare staffers have long been fans of Inès de la Fressange and her collaborations with Roger Vivier and Uniqlo, but this intimate flagship on rue de Grenelle showcases stylish pieces—women’s clothing (appealing dresses, blouses, perfect pants and skirts, fun graphic tees, blazers); leather goods (small boldly colored satchels and shoulder bags, clutches and wallets); and housewares that are oh so French—simply chic—and that all instantly conjure images of a European holiday resort. And we could have walked off with an entirely new collection of espadrilles, platform sandals, loafers, sneakers and a boho chic head scarf just for good measure on our last trip. Given her background working with Roger Vivier, it is not surprising that the shoe and bag lines are particular strengths, but the bikinis, clothes and scarves have her wonderful mix of classic and whimsy. This is a must visit for fashion lovers.
