Once used as a shelter for the orange trees that lined the gardens of the Tuilleries Palace, the Musée de l'Orangerie is now a museum known for its large collection of modern artworks. With a focus on Impressionist and Postimpressionist works, the museum houses pieces by Renoir, Matisse and Cézanne, as well as several paintings from Monet’s masterpiece series Water Lilies.
