Last month, WSJ. contributing editor Sarah Medford and Indagare founder Melissa Biggs Bradley hosted a group of travelers on an Insider Journeys trip to the South of France, an inspirational haven to some of the world’s greatest artists and architects, from Van Gogh and Cézanne to Le Corbusier and Tadao Ando. The group traced the region’s evolution of art, style and design from Roman times to the contemporary, with visits and private tours at the LUMA Foundation, the Fondation Vincent van Gogh and more. From Arles, they moved to stay at the art-filled property of Chateau La Coste, and they gained special invitations to see private homes and gardens of local insiders as designer Rose Tarlow and designer Pierre Yovanovitch. Scroll through the images to see some of the highlights from the trip.
All of our Insider Journeys feature exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to a destination, with expert guides and meetings with local insiders. Interested in learning more? Click here to see out upcoming trips and reserve your spot.
