Review
This bucolic hideaway offers an idyllic Provençal escape with beautiful suites and the largest private garden in Avignon. Only a five-minute walk from the center of town, this chic guest house feels serenely tucked away (the city’s narrow streets make it difficult to access by car). With only five suites in total, the property feels intimate and discreet. There is a simple breakfast served each morning, while all other meals can be specially requested, prepared by an outside chef and enjoyed throughout the property’s enchanting grounds. The interiors of the house feature a collection of art from the 17th through 20th centuries in addition to a library dedicated to art and design, while the garden encompasses a 50-foot swimming pool and a small wellness area offering a sauna, hammam, rain shower and such treatments as chromotherapy, massage and reflexology.
Who Should Stay
Low-key travelers looking for a romantic retreat in a gorgeous setting and who do not require the full services or amenities of a hotel.
