Golden sand, shimmering waters and comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas await at this gorgeous beach on the southwest of Syros Island. Reachable by bus or car, Agathopes beach is popular among locals who like to sunbathe and swim in the shallows. There are tavernas across the street serving traditional Greek small plates—you can often order directly from your sunbed, as it's typically the tavernas who manage the rentals. The view of the surrounding islets makes for a great sunset environment, so try to stay and catch golden hour.
