Galissas Beach

A family-friendly beach in the southwest of Syros, Galissas is a nice stretch of sandy beach in an enclosed bay. The clear and calm water makes its a great choice for families with small children, and there are options to rent a sunbed with an umbrella or lay a towel out on the sand on the more natural side of the beach. There are a few restaurants to choose from, as well as a nearby ATV and motorbike rental shop, Moto Rent George, if you'd like to go for a drive around the island. This is a great spot to stay until sunset, especially for the view from the Chapel of Santa Pakú—a chapel up the hill from Galissas beach (approximately a 15-minute walk to the top) where you can get uninterrupted views of the sun setting along the water.
