Review
One of the few luxury hotels on Santorini that accepts young children, Vedema is set inland at the southern end of the island, with distant sea views. While it does not offer Santorini’s quintessential caldera views, it is a true retreat. Built as an enclave that resembles an idyllic Greek village, the stunning property has beautiful stone pathways linking the suites, many of which are in individual, free-standing houses.
The property boasts large grounds, a gorgeous pool area, a small spa and several restaurants. The fine dining venue, Vinsanto, can be found in a 400-year-old cave, where wine tasting also takes place. Vedema run shuttles down to the beaches, town or ruins (all within about 10 miles of the property), but hiding out at the resort is what most guests may find themselves opting for all day.
Who Should Stay
Families willing to forgo sea views and a convenient location in favor of beautiful design and a splendid setting.
