While spending a week scouting Iceland, Indagare's Elise Bronzo and Marley Lynch found time for adventure and relaxation. Get a glimpse of the day-by-day highlights from their week-long trip.
Day 1: Deplar Farm Upon arrival, we snowmobiled to a secret location for nordic skiing and an axe-throwing contest.
Paddle boarding in the Arctic Ocean wasn’t on our bucket list, but it should have been. The dry suits and paddling kept our body temperatures high!
The table is set for our dinner of roasted goose, prepared by one of the top chefs in Iceland.
A horizon-to-horizon rainbow over the Gullfoss waterfall. The hike to the top was worth it.
Our guide drove us through a glacial valley in a super Jeep that he built himself before grilling us a lamb lunch.
Geothermal steam rises from the turquoise waters at the Blue Lagoon, which is framed by lava rock covered in green moss. We spent the entire afternoon soaking in the lagoon.
After a week of activities, we indulged in a spa day at the Retreat, including lava scrubs and silica mud masks—a divine finish to a divine trip!
We only feature hotels that we can vouch for first-hand. At many of them, Indagare members receive special amenities.
