Review
After you’ve walked the length of Venice, this 18th-century oasis, in the residential Cannaregio neighborhood, is pure heaven. The main lobby has original marble floors, stucco work and Murano chandeliers. The best accommodations face the garden; ask for one of the Junior Suites on the second floor, which is located off a grand entry hall. The Presidential Suite occupies a separate guesthouse in the garden. Here you have complete privacy and breathtaking views out over the lagoon toward San Michele. The design is classic Venice, with lots of fabrics and textures, hardwood floors and soaring ceilings. An Indagare member who stayed raved about the off-the-beaten-path location and the friendly, helpful concierge service.
