Bergen

Bergen

The second-largest city in Norway, Bergen is located on the country’s southwestern coast and is a great jumping-off point for exploring the fjords; Sognefjord, the second-largest fjord in the world, is located a five-hour boat ride or two-hour drive from the city (contact Indagare to inquire about helicopter tours). One day is all that is needed to see the city’s main sights, and we recommend touring Bryggen, a series of old Hanseatic buildings that line the harbor, with an expert guide, before taking the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for beautiful views. The city also boasts some great museums, including the KODE museums (Nordahl Bruns gate 9), Bergen Kunsthall (Rasmus Meyers allé 5) and the Edvard Grieg Museum (Troldhaugvegen 65).
