Located in the trendy Belem neighborhood, this museum hosts one of the finest collections of historical carriages in the world. Housed in the old Horse Arena of the Belem Palace, the museum was created in 1905 by Queen Amelia. Highlights include the 17th-century coach used by King Philip II of Spain when he travelled from Spain to Portugal. It might be a little off-beat, but the relics in the museum make history come to life.
