This family-run linen shop has been the trusted linen source of Portugal’s noble families as well as many of Europe’s top interior designers and most discerning shoppers (Princess Grace of Monaco and Lee Radziwill, among others) for decades. They use the finest Egyptian cottons for bed linens and hand-woven Italian linens for tablecloths and napkins, and all are hand-embroidered in Portugal. You can choose from gorgeous traditional patterns with lace and cutwork designed by the proprietor Maria Christina Castro, as well as the quilted comforters that the Four Seasons uses or floral-trimmed sheet sets. Or you can custom order; they will create napkins to match your china patterns, trim sheets with a motif to match your wallpaper or incorporate your family crest as they do for Portuguese families. It is also a great place to pick up a special souvenir, such as hand towels or sachets embroidered with designs or letters.
