Located right by the Murillo entrance of the Prado Museum, Murillo Café is an excellent place to stop for lunch before or after an edifying few hours in the museum or a walk in the Retiro Park. The décor is of this casual café is welcoming, making it an excellent place to share tapas like crisped shrimp, Indian samosas and fried yuca. Salads and main dishes draw equally from east and west, with a curried chicken salad sharing the menu with Spanish standards like Iberian pork tenderloin. Murillo Café is a great diversion from the prevalent tapas/bar spots, while still offering those Spanish classics.
Note: On Sundays they are only open until 5:30 p.m.
