    5 Days: Essential Mallorca

Experience both adventure and relaxation with this iconic 4-day itinerary for the stunning Spanish isle. Here is just one example of what our destination experts can create for you.

    • Day 1-2: Relax and Indulge

Ease into Mediterranean time with a day or two of relaxation at your countryside hotel. Enjoy al fresco lunches and poolside afternoons; or, head into the island’s gorgeous capital Palma, and explore the ancient cobbled streets and intimate plazas, for shopping and some excellent dining options.

    • Day 3: Explore by boat

Spend the day exploring Mallorca’s beautiful surrounding waters by boat. Stop into glittering inlet coves, enjoy a picnic at a secluded beach and sip vino while taking in the island’s fantastic coastal scenery. A highlight is a trip to Cabrera, an island that held a prison during the Napoleonic Wars and is an animal refuge.

    • Day 4: Adventure inland

Spend your last full day enjoying Mallorca’s picture-perfect landscape. For an afternoon break, visit one of the island’s lovely vineyards, or opt for a special experience, like a cooking class with a local chef or an artist and artisan tour. Active travelers should spend a few hours hiking; one of the best, most scenic routes is the Sa Calobra, leading down to Es Torrente de Pareis.

“We loved La Residencia; it was absolutely fabulous. All of the outdoor spaces were beautiful, all of it really captured the feeling of Mallorca.”

“Countless images make up Mallorca’s reputation: scenes of sandy beaches flanked by rugged mountains, seaside villages of crumbling stone, a sun-soaked city filled with ancient castles and Michelin-starred restaurants, a harbor of mega-yachts. With an ocean so brilliantly turquoise it nearly looks opaque, the island has a particular allure: small in size, but overflowing with breezy, seaside charm.”
