Review
Hotel Sant Francesc, which opened in 2015, offers a contemporary option in the heart of Mallorca’s historic capital, yet still within a 20-minute walk to the beach. Directly overlooking the Palma cathedral, the hotel may have a modern update but it hasn’t lost any of its grandeur. The softly lit courtyard, the public spaces floored with marble, the vaulted stone walkways—all combine to create a tasteful and welcoming atmosphere.
Many of the 42 rooms and suites have wood-beamed ceilings and verandas, and some even have original frescos. The rooftop pool is a stylish spot to relax in the shadow of the cathedral, while the spacious terrace is good for enjoying light snacks and cocktails. A refined, alfresco spot for in-house dining is Quadrat, a restaurant with a classic Mediterranean menu featuring local ingredients.
Who Should Stay
Couples and friends who want to be in the center of historic Palma, but like an elegant, designer atmosphere.
