Finca Cortesin
Finca Cortesin is a dream of a hotel—often considered Spain’s best—set in the hills above Marbella and less than a mile from the coastline.
Hotel Puente Romano
The rooms at Hotel Puente Romano are set in three-story white stucco structures with terracotta roofs and tiled nameplates in an effort to resemble an Andalusian town. Critics might say that the buildings look more like dated time-share condominiums, but the interiors have been updated and décor features white-washed wooden furniture with pops of color—notably lime greens, oranges and purples. The more soothing suites have upholstered furniture and textiles in creams and greys.
Ideal for families with older kids, the property gives teenagers a sense of freedom, while remaining contained enough to keep parents confident that they haven't drifted far. The courtyard by the lobby is referred to as Plaza Village, as it is home to multiple restaurants and bars, including the more casual eatery, Bibo. There is also a fun lounge/nightclub, Suite, that brings in DJs in the evenings. Other facilities include an excellent tennis club, nearby golf courses, myriad water sports and the first-rate Six Senses spa.
Marbella Club Hotel
This storied hotel opened in the 1950s as a private enclave for royalty and their hangers on. Today it remains one of Europe's most glamorous resorts, welcoming guests of myriad generations from around the globe.
