The Istanbul restaurant scene is buzzing and fun. Quintessential experiences include dinner at a rooftop restaurant, a meal on the Bosphorus and a classic kebap (Turkish for “kebab”) lunch. Be sure to taste these local specialties: assorted mezze, braised fresh fish, Turkish coffee (it’s unfiltered and very strong) and Turkish delights (chewy, bite-sized desserts).
