Located on Lake Judd, Tordrillo Mountain Lodge is a luxurious playground for travelers of all ages and a one-stop shop for exploring Alaska’s interior region. Conveniently located less than one hour from Anchorage by plane, the lodge still has a remote wilderness feel. Guests can stay in cozy, cabin-like bedrooms with ensuite baths. The top accommodations are the four private cabins, with separate sitting areas, floor-to-ceiling windows, glass fireplaces, small private decks and a more upscale, contemporary aesthetic. Additional facilities include a 500-bottle wine cellar, a peaceful yoga studio and a fitness center.
The customizable activity schedule enables all visitors to craft a one-of-a-kind experience during their stay. Guests can indulge in on-property jet skiing, wakeboarding, skeet shooting, mountain biking and more. Tordrillo Mountain Lodge’s multitude of excursions (some of which are heli-based) satisfy a wide variety of interests: whether fishing, river rafting, glacier trekking or via ferrata climbing, several days of adventure are easily filled here. The lodge’s “Kings and Corn” program also sets it apart from other Alaskan properties. In June, guests can spend their days heli-skiing and fishing for King Salmon, a 20-year tradition that takes advantage of Alaska’s midnight sun for five nights of non-stop outdoor adventure.
