Candlefish

This large space located just off of King Street boasts an extensive offering of candles, along with home goods and accessories. The store's focal point is its wall of bookshelves that hold over 100 different scented candles encased in attractive glass cloches, all handmade in-house. Shoppers are encouraged to flip through handwritten notebooks that detail the scent profiles of all the candles. Once appropriately educated, they are invited to work with the knowledgeable staff to find the perfect candle through a process of scent-elimination (we were told to think of it as "a wine tasting of candles"). The store regularly holds candle-making workshops and also stocks candles and other home goods by a variety of other brands.
