For this special journey, we are thrilled to partner with the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art to give you unmatched, behind closed doors-access to Los Angeles. Highlights of this itinerary include the opportunity to:

  • Visit Los Angeles’ most beautiful and sought-after neighborhoods with exclusive invitations into private homes that present some of the finest examples of 20th-century architectural styles in the area. Highlights include Colleen and Bradley Bell’s 1926 George Washington Smith-designed residence, the home of Michael S. Smith and The Milbank Mansion. Along the way, you will meet friends of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art and Indagare, as well as local designers and architects.
  • Go behind-the-scenes at two leading design studios, David Wiseman Studio and Tony Duquette Studios, and meet the esteemed interior designer Hutton Wilkinson, the President and Creative Director of Tony Duquette Studios.
  • Connect with iconic designers, fellow architect lovers and industry influencers over cocktail receptions and meals at stylish private venues and up-and-coming restaurants.
  • Stay in luxury at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, and be among the first to see the beautiful multi-million dollar refresh by David Collins Studio.

This Journey's Host

The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) is a nonprofit membership organization with the mission to advance the appreciation and practice of the principles of traditional architecture and its allied arts by engaging educators, professionals, students, and enthusiasts. The ICAA’s membership represents the diverse and dynamic cross-section of all those involved with the building arts, from architects and designers, to patrons and artisans. These members benefit from the robust network of local and national programs and networking opportunities. The ICAA’s headquarters in New York and 15 chapters nationwide offer a variety of programming, including intensives for architecture and design students, continuing education courses for professionals and enthusiasts and the publishing of original and reprinted books. On this journey, you will be welcomed by Art Advisor & Consultant, Andrea Feldman Falcione. Feldman Falcione began her professional career at the Museum of Modern Art in New York advancing from cataloguer in the Department of Prints and Illustrated Books to curator. In 1997, Feldman Falcione moved to Los Angeles to work with the Broad Art Foundation helping to build the collection now on view at The Broad, and in 2007 she started her own firm, Andrea Feldman Falcione Art Advisory & Consulting, working with a small group of internationally based art collectors and travelers. Feldman Falcione was also the VIP Program Director for the Getty Museum initiatives, Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A. 1945—1980 in 2011 and Pacific Standard Time: Los Angeles/Latin America in 2017. Feldman Falcione organizes and leads art tours with clients including The Cincinnati Art Museum, the Getty Institute, the Orange County Museum of Art and the Orlando Museum of Art.

  • Three nights’ accommodations at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel in a Signature Room. Indagare can arrange higher category accommodation upgrades, subject to availability

  • All guided touring, activities and admissions included in the itinerary
  • Scheduled group transfers throughout Los Angeles to all activities, in small luxury vehicles
  • Expert guides, as indicated in the itinerary, including your ICAA and Indagare hosts (to be announced) and the 24/7 support of our partners on the ground
  • The services of Indagare’s expert travel team to plan all Journey details, international flights and trip extensions for those who want to arrive early or stay later in the arrival or departure cities (costs not included)

Excludes

  • A required $500 donation, per person, to support the ICAA and its programs, to be made directly to the ICAA
  • Air transportation to and from Los Angeles, as well as airport transfers to and from the hotel
  • Meals and premium beverages not included in the itinerary
  • Personal items and expenses, including optional activities, additional transfers and trip extensions
  • All gratuities
  • Any Covid-testing fees
  • Travel insurance (highly recommended—please let us know if you would like quotes)
  • Liability for change in itinerary due to reasons beyond our control (such as flights, cancellations, natural phenomena)
