Wilma & Frieda

In a town so often caught in the middle of the 20^th century, it’s nice to find a place that truly embodies the spirit of the upstart. Enter Wilma & Frieda. The owner, Kelly McFall, had dreamed of opening a café named after her grandmothers, and she turned to Kickstarter to do it. In 2013, she opened her restaurant, and today, it’s impossible to imagine Palm Springs without it.

Tucked into the upper floor of the Gardens, a shopping mall on El Paseo, Wilma & Frieda serves some of the best breakfast food in the Southwest with an amazing lood mary and eggs benedict. The restaurant recently started serving dinner, covering the tables with linens and becoming slightly fancier after work. But the breakfast will always be their bread and butter, and Wilma & Frieda’s is not to be missed.
