The three Orrico sisters, Casey, Kathie and Colleen, have created an empire of preppy dressing in Florida with outposts from Hobe Sound to Naples. This is command central, though, where the ode to pink-and-green runs strong and where you can count on an enormous selection of colorful fashion for the young and casual holidaymaker. In addition to Lilly Pulitzer, the brands carried include Milly, Vineyard Vines, Nanette Lepore, Shoshanna, Tibi and Trina Turk.

A longtime preppy paradise, this shop is still a favorite of the boarding school/country club kid set but it has a slightly edgier aesthetic than it once did. This is probably the best place in town to find a good selection of jeans.

This is one of those stores that is best enjoyed by people who don’t bother looking at price tags. After all, alligator-covered trunks require an extravagant lifestyle. You can find loafers, briefcases and purses (from itsy-bitsy to tote size) in various skins, from ostrich and alligator, and a riot of tropical colors as well as pastels. There are also piles of cashmere sweaters and wraps of the finest quality.
