Hawaii - Kauai

Aside from Hawaiiana and fresh produce from farmers’ markets around the island, don’t plan on doing serious shopping on Kauai: there are even fewer places to shop here than on Maui or the Big Island. Surf shops adorn Hanalei on the north shore, while the south has the Poipu Shopping Village (near the Hyatt), with a couple of jewelry stores, an art gallery and some trendy clothing boutiques. The Hyatt and the Princeville also have some very nice stores worth checking out, particularly the Hyatt’s high-end jewelry store, called Na Hoku, which features gorgeous black Tahitian pearls.
