Indagare Spotlight: Chablé Yucatán

Start the new year at a paradise hidden within the lush jungles of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula—the Chablé Yucatán resort—for a transformative wellness retreat hosted by award-winning author and travel writer Mary Morris. Surrounded by sleepy towns and lush, humming jungles, Chablé Yucatán offers exquisite accommodations and a dynamic wellness experience. The property welcomes guests to a unique paradise that blends the ancient and cutting-edge—the luxurious and mystical—in a restorative retreat.

This special Insider Journey to Mexico will take place February 11-15, 2023. Keep reading to learn about Chablé Yucatán’s offerings, and how you can experience it all first-hand.

The Design

Every element of the resort, from the landscaping to the cocktail menu, has been thoughtfully designed to pay homage to local culture and the Yucatán’s Mayan heritage. Set in a restored 19th-century estate, Chablé Yucatán retains many of the property’s original structures, including a wine cellar and chapel featuring a painting of the hotel’s namesake, Saint Chablé. Thoughtfully updated for the 21st century, the gorgeous Hacienda is the resort’s main hub, complete with a library, lounge bar and boutique; it is surrounded by 75 acres of manicured grounds. The 40 guest casitas—each with its own hammock and plunge pool—emphasize modern minimalism. Rooms feature indoor/outdoor layouts, light stone surfaces and accents in sea green and blue, with floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Signature Spa

At the core of the Chablé Yucatán experience is the spa. Built into a cenote, a natural sinkhole considered by the Mayans to be a sacred spiritual gateway, the spa area is filled with rippling streams and overgrown greenery. The setting is vibrant and alive with positive energy. Morning yoga in the cenote, massage treatments and walking meditation will help you re-energize and reset.

Culinary Program

Over five days at Chablé Yucatán, work towards inner peace, reflection and creativity through three journaling workshops guided by author and travel writer Mary Morris. Sessions will focus on the art of storytelling—and how you can use it to illuminate your own personal journey. Note: No previous creative writing experience is required.
