Acre Baja
A exceptional farm-to-table restaurant located in the farmland to the east of San Jose del Cabo, Acre is being heralded as a more contemporary, South Beach version of longtime favorite Flora’s Farm, just down the road.

El Farallón
Field Kitchen at Flora's Farm
French Riviera Restaurant & Bakery
Jacques Chretien, an expat Frenchman, runs this popular bakery, coffee shop and bistro.
La Panga Antigua
Jacobo Turquie, a Culinary Institute of America grad, serves contemporary Mexican fare, like salmon fillet over lentil and olive stew and seared sea scallops with dry-chili oil over squid-ink risotto. Set in a historic hacienda, his restaurant is fashionable with the expat set.
Mi Cocina
A Euro-Mexican restaurant in the pretty courtyard of Casa Natalia, Mi Cocina is the second Mexican venture of French chef Loïc Tenoux (his first, a restaurant in Provence, had trouble competing with classic French establishments). Dishes include Provençal-style shrimp with cilantro-fish consommé, tequila-cured salmon and, for dessert, chocolate cake and crème brûlée. From One & Only Palmilla, San Jose del Cabo is about a 15-minute drive.
Nick-San
Diners pack into Nick-San for superfresh Baja-inspired sushi and sashimi (owner Angel Carbajal often catches the fish himself aboard his aptly named vessel, Spicy Tuna). There are several locations, including the original branch in Cabo San Lucas. If you’re staying at the One & Only Palmilla, the closer one is at the Las Tiendas shopping center, across the street.
SEARED
Tropicana Inn
This local San José restaurant has a spacious, palapa-shaded terrace that makes it a fun pit stop. Order a heaping serving of fresh guacamole and people-watch. The Mexican food is expertly prepared, and many locals and loyal visitors bring guests here for dinner, but come ready for a fiesta: there’s a band and a lively ambience, so serious or intimate conversation is basically impossible.
