Indagare members are invited to kick off the fall by joining Melissa Biggs Bradley for an exclusive tour of The Philip Johnson Glass House while it is closed to the public. A National Historic Trust site, the Glass House sits on 49 acres of land in New Canaan, Connecticut. This curator-led tour will touch on the significance of the Glass House, its permanent collection of 20th-century paintings and sculptures and the exhibition Yayoi Kusama: Narcissus Garden. The trip is timed so that guests can experience Kusama's installation Dots Obsession - Alive, Seeking for Eternal Hope. The project, which is only open for a few weeks, will transform the Glass House into one of the artist's signature infinity rooms.
The event will end with a casual reception and toast at a nearby restaurant. Round-trip transportation will be provided from Manhattan, though members living in the greater NYC area can also chose to make their own arrangements.
What: Private, curator-led tour of the Glass House When: Wednesday, September 21st Time: 11:30am - 7pm Price: $550 per person
