Forest Park

forest park portland

The largest urban park in the United States, Forest Park spans over 5,000 acres and sits ten minutes by car from Portland’s downtown area. The eight-mile-long reserve is home to over 70 miles of trails, 112 bird and 62 mammal species, and is the destination of choice of Portlanders and visitors who want to explore the outdoors, be it by hiking, running, biking or horseback riding. One of the most popular routes is a five-mile loop that passes Pittock Mansion and offers beautiful views of the Willamette River.
