Review
After an extensive renovation in 2015, Sun Valley Lodge is luxurious while still maintaining a minimalist Alpine feel. The property is spread across 3,000 acres and consists of the lodge and its myriad common spaces, plus a small village with a grocery store, superb book store, multiple boutiques, a chocolate shop and several restaurants. Nearby are a movie theater and several sports facilities, including outdoor tennis courts and an outdoor heated pool. In addition to 148 guest rooms, small houses and condos located throughout the village. While staying at the lodge, breakfast at Gretchen’s, overlooking the skating rink, or a drink at Duchin’s accompanied by tunes on a grand piano is a Sun Valley must.
