    3 Days: Best of Telluride

Experience the best of Telluride with a customized itinerary that includes special access, guided touring, private lessons and exclusive reservations. Here’s just one example of what our travel specialists can arrange for you.

    • Day 1: Acclimating to the Altitude

The former mining town has a passionate cult following: outdoors enthusiasts love the wide range of extreme-adventure activities, while families enjoy the kid-friendly pursuits and local charm. The drastic elevation of Telluride and the adjacent Mountain Village can be difficult to adjust to, so spend the first day acclimating to the altitude with spa treatments including a personal oxygen can. For dinner, take the gondola to Allred’s for creative American dishes and a spectacular sunset.

    • Day 2: Time in Town

After breakfast, stroll down Colorado Avenue, the main thoroughfare, and the streets that branch off it, which are lined by historic Victorian homes. Take a guided walking tour to see the historic sights of Telluride, such as the Sheridan Opera House, New Sheridan Hotel and its historic saloon, and learn about the town’s gold mining and cowboy culture. After the tour, stop for lunch and spend the afternoon perusing the unique shops and galleries. Telluride boasts a rich arts and music scene, so aim to attend a festival or musical performance during your stay.

    • Day 3: Experience the Great Outdoors

The true reason any traveler comes to Telluride is to savor the incredible landscape. In the winter months, head to the slopes for downhill skiing or the pristine trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Summer visitors can spend days fly-fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking or kayaking down the San Miguel River. Visitors should choose one of Indagare’s favorite restaurants for dinner and then head over to the New Sheridan bar, a historic landmark, for a nightcap.
