The dining room, with its exposed polished beams and brick, glazed painted tiles and a fireplace, has a cozy ambiance.

Food at Daly’s Pub & Rec, Deer Valley, American West

Daly’s Pub & Rec

The underground pub at Montage, Daly’s Pub gives more space to the recreational offerings than it does to dining tables, which is a shame because as fun as it is to play pool or bowl, there is a huge demand for tables at meal times and the food is delicious. Daly’s is named for a historical area mine but the food is modern pub fare, including excellent brick-oven pizzas and one of the best veggie burgers anywhere. Kids love the video arcade, and if you reserve a bowling lane, you can order nachos or a full meal while you play. Open for lunch (come before noon or after 2) and dinner. No reservations accepted.

Food at Empire Canyon Grill, Deer Valley, American West

Empire Canyon Grill

This lodge at Empire Pass functions as a typical ski lodge grill place feeding hungry skiers with hearty burgers and similar fare. The lodge’s five fireplaces actually serve as stations for raclette, stews, fricassees and fire-roasted meats such as leg of lamb and venison. There’s also a salad table and dessert fireplace where you find a variety of fondues.

Food at Mustang, Deer Valley, American West

Mustang

There’s a SoHo-art-gallery-goes-West feeling about the Mustang restaurant. Contemporary paintings on spare white walls, white linen tablecloths and modern lighting and a bar with cowhide panels set the scene. The design complements the delicious contemporary American cuisine of chef Bill Hufferd. In only three years he has made a reservation here very sought after in high season. Among his specialties: wild Alaskan salmon served in sake-teriyaki sauce and braised lamb shank in a red-wine demi-glace with chopped rosemary.

No Name Saloon

The famous No Name Saloon is a staple on Park City’s main drag with a façade remarkably similar to the original 1905 exterior.

O.P. Rockwell Cocktail Lounge and Music Hall

This speakeasy-style cocktail lounge and music hall is a great place to experience live music in Park City.
bubble hanging piece and ash branches

Riverhorse on Main

Some of the most delicious food on Main Street can be found in this atmospheric and skylit space. Cal Ripken Jr. is a regular diner here as are many of the Hollywood film foodies who come for Sundance. Riverhorse has even made it on to the list of prestigious top restaurants in the country. The ahi tuna tartare appetizer is tasty, but entrees like the trio of wild game (buffalo, venison and elk) are what make this centrally located restaurant worth the hype—though some may find the prices more reflective of the buzzy location than the food. There’s an excellent wine list, with an emphasis on vintages from California and the Pacific Northwest and in the evenings they have soft live music. Private dining rooms are available for events.

Ambience : Snowed Inn, Deer Valley, American West

Snowed Inn

A horse-drawn sleigh ride up the Park City mountain to a cabin in the woods for a ranch-style dinner, complete with Western country music, sounds a bit corny, but children love it. You meet at the base of Park City Mountain’s Pay Day lift (dress warmly, with hats and mittens for all) and horse-drawn sleighs deliver you to an enormous log cabin, where fires are lit. Dinner is served family-style at long tables, which means it’s most fun if you go with your own big group of friends. Kids are served hot cider or cocoa in tin camping mugs, and the menu is inspired by campfire fare—mesquite grilled chicken, trout and prime rib. You can book 5:30, 6:30 or 7:30 sleigh pickup times; sleigh ride and dinner lasts two to two-and-a-half hours.

Carrot Side at Tupelo, Deer Valley, American West

Tupelo

In December 2022, Tupelo, formerly on the historic Main Street, reopened its doors on Kearns Boulevard just outside of downtown Park City. This stylish fine dining restaurant reflects a modern alpine chic design and serves beautifully presented and delicious American cuisine. Seafood here–as with everywhere else in Park City–is flown in day of, with the mussels coming straight from a woman in Maine that chef Matt Harris has been using for years. Tupelo's partners, Maggie Alvarez and Matt Harris (who has worked with such star toques as Jean Georges Vongerichten, Kevin Rathbun and Pano Karatossos), also oversee RIME at St. Regis Deer Valley.
