Not every resort town has a golden mascot, but Vail has had one since 1975 when Lee Kirch opened her Golden Bear boutique in Vail Village. The little Mama Bear pendant has evolved into diamond versions and rings and bracelets and the company is now run by Kristen Busse but the mania for the Vail symbol continues. In addition to the bear jewelry, you will find pieces from the collections of John Hardy and Roberto Coin among others as well as a whole line of housewares bearing the bear signature shape from glasses to pasta bowls.
