The Winery

Sample some 80 different New Zealand wines by the glass at this spacious wine bar/shop in walking distance to Eichardt’s. Patrons are given a pre-loaded cash card that gets you access to the wine dispensers where you can choose to sample a tasting, half- or full glass of wine from vintages across New Zealand, but especially from the Central Otago region. Settle into one of the cozy chairs, order a cheese platter and sip away – if you fall in love with any of the wines, you can purchase them at the shop and also ship them home. For travelers who have toured the Gibbston Valley and other wine regions around Queenstown will have fun recognizing and sampling the local vintages.
