As we cap off yet another year of travel uncertainties and spot lockdowns, Indagare’s most-booked hotels of 2021 reflect the world's ongoing pandemic realities.

Domestic travel remained hot, with beach getaways to Florida and Hawaii and outdoor escapes to Jackson Hole and Utah, among top trips. But when Europe started reopening, we saw a spike in bookings for Indagare favorites in France, Italy and Iceland as well. Sadly missing from our list again this year are our usual most-booked hotels in Africa and Asia, which we now hope will rebound in 2022.

Wherever they were, Indagare Members tended towards pampering retreats with myriad on-property amenities that appeal to couples and families alike. Even when urban stays factored into itineraries—which they did, from New York to Rome—they chose stylish pied-à-terres with high-touch services. Essentially, the kinds of hotels where you can feel at home and have breakfast in bed.
