Take (or Send) your Mother on an Indagare Insider Journey

Our small-group journeys are curated around passion points and offer once-in-a-lifetime immersion in destinations, in the company of local experts and plugged-in tastemakers; plus, they offer the chance to make connections with like-minded members of the Indagare community. This Mother’s Day, gift your traveling mom a spot—or go with her!—for one of these dynamic trips:

Hiking in Chilean Patagonia (November 7 – 13, 2021): Few destinations are as dramatic as Chile: here, salt flats meet snow-capped mountains, and glacial rivers give way to sandy beaches and vast plains. On this journey through the Torres del Paine, active moms can test their limits on some of the most incredible hiking trails in the world—all while enjoying the luxuries of one of our favorite adventure lodges, Explora Patagonia. In addition to exploring with local naturalists and mountaineers, guests can also experience horseback riding, glacier trekking, kayaking and more. Learn more.

Discover Croatia and Slovenia (June 8 – 13 and 13 – 18, 2021): Join Indagare Founder Melissa Biggs Bradley in Croatia to experience Istria, a beautiful, seaside wine-producing destination (comparable to Tuscany) that remains relatively undiscovered by travelers. You can also join Melissa in Slovenia—a destination that has grown increasingly popular among in-the-know travelers, not least because it has helped set the gold standard for sustainable tourism, to explore miles of pristine alpine trails and glacial lakes, fairytale-worthy castles and charming cobblestoned cities that produce game-changers in food and design. Learn more.

Icons of Mexico City (October 9 – 14, 2021): Design aficionados, foodies and style mavens should not miss the chance to explore Mexico’s colorful metropolis, which has one of the highest concentrations of museums and galleries in the world, an innovative, globally renowned food scene, and a profusion of boutique shops and hotels. On this journey, moms can experience the icons and highlights of this culture capital in the company of local tastemakers and curators, with expert-guided tours of the city’s most interesting neighborhoods and visits focused on the groundbreaking work of Luis Barragán, Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo; the nuances of artisanal mezcal; up-and-coming contemporary artists and so much more. Learn more.

Elephants of Botswana – A Safari with Colin Bell (October 2 – 10, 2021): The ultimate destination for a picture-perfect safari, Botswana is home to some of the most spectacular wildlife-viewing in Africa—and few times are better to visit than the dry season, which draws an exceptional number of animals to the remaining waterholes and creates some of the best chances to see elephants, who have a greater need to stay hydrated. On this once-in-a-lifetime journey, animal-loving moms can join safari legend Colin Bell—co-founder of Wilderness Safaris and author of The Last Elephants—for thrilling drives through the bush and activities that support elephant-conservation programs. Learn more.

Israel Unveiled (October 3 – 8, 2021): Israel packs a cultural punch that is rivaled by few other destinations. The nation has enough diversity—from Bedouins and religious pilgrims to beach-goers who frolic in Tel Aviv—to be its own continent. On this journey, explore a modern perspective on Israel’s many contrasts and complexities, with an itinerary that travels deep into the country’s historic heart—Jerusalem—and its modern epicenter—Tel Aviv. Learn more.

Discover the Galápagos (January 23 or 25 – February 1, 2022): Nature-loving moms will love this chance to explore the pristine ecosystems of the Galápagos islands—with an itinerary that has been crafted with an eye towards promoting conservation awareness and traveling in a sustainable manner—aboard a private charter of the M/Y Grace, the most historic and luxurious boat in the archipelago. Learn more.

Plus: inquire about privatizing these itineraries for your own custom getaway.

Give Mom a Taste of India from the Indagare Souk and Support Local Designers!

On Wednesday, April 28th, the Indagare community traveled to India for a virtual souk experience curated by lifestyle expert and textile curator, Marcella Echavarria. We featured three Indian designers who each represent a distinct vision of Indian fashion. Raw Mango presented limited edition jackets made with fine silk and embroideries from Benjal and Varanasi, created exclusively for Indagare. Injiri curated a collection of Indigo pieces, a selection of cashmere dresses and scarves and a special edition of hand sewn blouses made just for this event. And Kashmir Loom revisited the world of embroidery and Kani on the finest cashmere. India is a destination that is near and dear to the hearts of so many in the Indagare community. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate your Mom and support local designers, creative cooperatives and communities that are in need. Covid-19 has had a tremendously devastating impact on India and the proceeds will directly help these three designers and their employees.

For a limited time only items from the souk remain available. Shop here (use password: indiansouk).
