Episode 12 Future of Travel: Diving to The Titanic with OceanGate

This week on Passport to Everywhere, Melissa discusses deep sea exploration with industry pioneer Stockton Rush. Stockton is the founder and CEO of OceanGate, a venture spearheading discoveries in marine science, history and archeology and opening the deep sea up to travelers (citizen explorers as he calls them). OceanGate’s famed expedition is a journey 400 miles off Canada’s Atlantic coast to the location of the Titanic wreckage. Learn what it’s like to visit the storied ship, from the moment you leave the coast to the 2.5-mile plunge below the ocean’s surface to view the wreckage via a state-of-the-art submarine. Stockton and Melissa also discuss the challenges he’s had to overcome as founder and CEO of the first company to take citizens down to the deep sea and his predictions for the industry’s future.

Plus, as the holiday season gets into full swing, you won’t want to miss this week’s travel hack on how to handle flight cancellations.
