Located just a few minutes’ walk from the beach in Honolulu’s Waikiki neighborhood, the Ritz-Carlton Residences features spacious accommodations with fresh, contemporary décor and the excellent service expected of a Ritz property. The residences range from 460-square-foot studios to 1880-square-foot, three-bedroom suites, but all allow guests to feel like they are staying in their own private home with a furnished terrace, a washer and dryer, a kitchen or kitchenette and floor-to-ceiling windows with gorgeous vistas of the ocean (the Ritz purchased the land in front of the hotel to ensure that no new construction could obstruct the views). Larger suites also include dining spaces for up to eight guests.
When guests aren’t relaxing in their rooms or lounging on the beach, they can take advantage of the hotel’s eighth-floor infinity pool (the highest in Waikiki) featuring private cabanas, the 24-hour fitness center, a Ritz-Carlton spa and three dining outlets: BLT Market for farm-to-table fare served all day, Sushi Sho for an exclusive, 10-seat omakase dinner and Hawaii’s first Dean & DeLuca marketplace for guests looking to prepare their own en-suite meals.
**Indagare Note:** The hotel currently offers 307 residences, but construction of a second tower is underway. This new addition will include 246 residences, a larger pool, an expanded spa, a kids’ facility and an upscale grocer.
Who Should Stay
Couples or families with older children who appreciate the space, privacy and flexibility of a residential-style accommodation but do not want to sacrifice the amenities of a hotel.
