Bald Mountain

This is the mountain that earned Sun Valley its reputation as a renowned ski resort. Baldy now boasts 14 chairlifts and 75 challenging runs that span over 2,054 acres and rise almost 3,400 vertical feet. Dollar is usually the preferred mountain for beginners, but a ski school runs here as well for quick-learners or adventure-seekers. Besides the base lodges of River Run and Warm Springs, there are several huts sprinkled throughout the mountain that provide hot chocolate or lunchtime options.
