Named for the Georgia governor and U.S. Secretary of State John Forsyth, this lovely park in the Historic District contains one of the largest cast-iron fountains in the country as well as monument showing a Confederate soldier defending his state against the Union. The park has a perimeter of exactly one mile, which is popular with joggers. The Forsyth Fountain area can be rented out for weddings. Keep an eye out for the Myers Drinking Fountain, which has spouts for humans and water bowls for dogs.
